Candidates under 35 years of age are allowed one embryo per transfer in their first and second IVF cycles. Two embryos can be transferred for the third attempt and any subsequent attempts.
Candidates over the age of 35 are allowed two embryos for each IVF attempt.
Transferring three embryos or more are not allowed under any circumstances.

Freezing of surplus embryos:

Embryos that are not transferred back to the mother can be frozen with the consent of both partners. Embryos will be stored a minimum of one year after which the consent of the patients must be obtained to continue storing the embryos.
